Zach Jernigan

Graduate Student

I am a dual-degree graduate student at NC State University majoring in biotechnology and business. Past supervisors have commended me for my ability to see the bigger picture in data, and planning how to change that picture. I am always seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills, within the biotechnology industry, so that I can better help organizations plan and achieve their innovation goals.

In the short term, my next career step is finishing my MBA at NC State University. I will concentrate in Technology Evaluation and Commercialization (TEC) while also obtaining a certificate in Financial Accounting during my time in the Jenkins Graduate School of Management.

After school, I will seek roles where I can  expand my knowledge on the multitude of factors facing the growth of an idea. I hope to find such a role within a large company and continue my work with local startups on the side. My ultimate career aspirations boil down to helping build innovative and successful businesses through strategy development and execution.
